Chapter 1:
"No mom I dont think anybody is gonna like me at this new school." sighed Gabriella putting her plate in the sink. Her mother smiled, "Gabby, your a beautiful girl and you have such a sweet personality, why wouldnt people like you?" "Because Im a loser." she muttered, walking into the living room. "Gabby, why do you see your self as a loser, you have to stop putting yourself down." Maria sighed. "Hm....lets see, I never have a chance to make friends and if I make a friend we end up moving." she answered, walking up the stairs. Her mother sighed and followed, "Thats not true sweetie you have lots of friends." Gabriella didnt bother replying to that because she knew its was gonna lead to trouble.

Eventually she heard the school bus, "Well bye mom." she called running down the stairs. "Bye honey." Maria called back. She grabbed her bag and walked out to the bus, she heard people snickering about her when she walked on but it didnt bother her because it was normal. She saw an empty seat so sat at it, "Hi Im Gabriella." she greeted, "And?" the brunette asked popping her gum. Gabriella just nodded and looked away, only fifteen more minutes till she got to school.

The bus pulled up in front of the school and all the students departed the bus, the guys gave each high-fives and as for the girls they just jumped around like idiots. Gabriella was looking down at her schduele, she didnt notice the boy standing in front of her, "God, Im so sorry." she apologized looking into his ocean blue eyes. "Oh no worries." he said walking off. She smiled to herself and entered the school, "Locker 281." she said to herself looking at the locker. She opened it to find books already in them. "What the..?" she asked herself and turned around to see the blue-eyed boy looking at her, "Seems you figured out my locker combo." he chuckled, "Man, Im so sorry they told me to come to this locker." she apologized again. "No its fine, theres so many kids here there now making people share lockers." he assured. "Oh." she mouthed, looking at the mess. "Sorry for the mess, as you can tell I dont keep things really neat." he laughed. "No its fine Im sure, I could find a way to manage." she smiled. "Tomorrow after school Im free maybe we can clean this mess up?" he asked. "Yeah sure, Im always free." she agreed. "Okay, guess I'll catch you later." he smiled and walked away.

As the day continued, Gabriellas least favorite class came around, lunch. Usually she would skip it and go to study hall but this school wouldnt let you into study hall unless you had a pass. She sighed and sat at an empty table and stared into space. "Hey." someone said sitting at the table, She quickly snapped out of it and saw the blue-eyed boy in front of her. "Oh, hey." she smiled. "I just remember I never got your name." he said smiling. "Oh right, Gabriella." she said. "Thats such a pretty name, Im Troy." he said. Gabriella knew she heard the name Troy talked by every girl in school, even some guys would say how awesome he is. "Troy Bolton?" she narrowed her eyes. "Yeah, how'd you know?" he pondered. "Well you must be some kind of a legend because everybody talks about you." she said. "Legend, huh?" he chuckled, "I wouldnt say that but I do hear people talk about me a lot?" "Oh my god Im sorry if I offended you." she apologized. "Nah, its cool." he assured, "Well my girlfriend is waiting for me, so I'll so you later." he said walking off. "Of course, he has a girlfriend." she muttered.

"Mom, Im home." she called. "Oh hi honey, how was your first day?" Maria asked coming down the stairs all dressed up. "Where are you going?" she asked setting her bag down. "Oh, yeah my company is having another meeting." she said fixing her shirt. Usually whenever there was a meeting it meant the company was transfering. "But Mom, we just got here." Gabriella said. "I know honey, but sometimes things happen." Maria said. Gabriella just shook her head, "Yeah but I finally have a normal first day, and then I come home to find out we might be moving again?" "Sweetie, Im sorry I know this isnt what you wanted but sometimes life throws you good bones and then bad bones." Maria said. "Typical we always get stuck with the bad bone, its been that way since dad moved out." yelled Gabriella running upstairs.
